Why are fire risk assessments required?

Fire risk assessments are required in line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to reduce and/or prevent the chance of a fire occurring within your premises. As a result of undertaking a fire safety risk assessment, you comply with the latest fire safety legislation, avoid hefty prosecution, and play an integral part in keeping visitors and working on-site safe.

What do fire risk assessments cover?

There are FIVE key points that an assessment consists of. They cover; identifying all potential fire hazards, identifying people at risk within your premises, evaluating and removing/reducing the risk, and recording and planning. The final stage of an assessment is a continuous review on a yearly basis to ensure all fire safety implementation is still adequate.
