This is all legislated under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and although this is sensible, we believe everyone should be ethically advanced too and actually want to do these things to ensure their building is safe.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 fire safety order also mentions a few other important things such as there must be a designated ‘Responsible Person’ (RP) related to fire who will arrange the fire risk assessments, sort out fire drills, help people in the case of an emergency and more.

Identify the fire hazards – Before making any plans in relation to fire hazards, you need to find what they are and where they are. Record, plan, inform and train (if required) – This step is simply to make notes and documents on our findings, inform the people who own or manage the building and train up various people who need it. Review regularly – Following from all the steps we’ve explained prior to this one, we will check in with you at the end to book in a fire risk assessment review. We recommend this happens annually because so much can change in a year which could be significant to the fire safety plans. There is no law against how often you get them done though, just that you must have one done in the first place.
